Florists have the knowledge and experience needed to guide you in selecting the perfect get well arrangement that is just right for the age and special preferences of the one receiving them. They can also give you information to care for the flowers and tell you how long the flowers will last.
A good example is carnations, which are always the popular choice for get well bouquets. Their life span is approximately two weeks.
